The “World’s Greatest Grocery Run Promotion with LG” is a competition that allows you to have a chance to go in the draw to win a “grocery trip” around the world valued at up to NZ$25,000.
Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms by each entrant.
Any costs associated with entering the promotion, including accessing the promotional website, are the responsibility of each entrant.
Subject to clause 5, the promotional offer is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over currently residing in New Zealand who: (a) purchase a Participating Product during the Promotional Period from a participating retailer, (b) comply with all claim requirements, (c) submit a claim form in accordance with these Terms,(d) who has a current, valid passport allowing international travel and (e) must be available to complete the travel by 31 December 2014.
Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, related companies, directors, management and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to claim. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
How to Enter
One entry per Purchase is permitted and will be entered into the prize draw.
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
‘The World’s Greatest Grocery Run with LG‘ means a chance to win a round the world trip, to the value of $25,000, corresponding with the Purchase of the Participating Product as specified in the table below. Purchase of one refrigerator equals one chance.
‘Purchase’ means purchase the Participating Product with payment in full during the Promotional Period from a New Zealand participating retailer. Purchase does not include: (i) rental payment plans with a term of less than 18 months; (ii) lay-buys or pre-orders made before the promotion start date; (iii) Commercial or business transactions involving the purchase of more than three (3) units total of Participating Products; (iv) online third party internet websites; (v) second hand products or (vi) purchases made in conjunction with any other LG offer.
‘Promotional Period’ means 8am (NZDT) on 8 March 2014 to 11:59pm (NZDT) 8 June 2014

To enter the promotion, eligible entrants must:
Purchase a Participating Product from a New Zealand based participating retailer during the Promotional Period;
Visit www.lgpromo.co.nz and complete the online entry form in full in the manner required. Eligible entrants will need to enter all necessary information in the mandatory fields. Eligible entrants will also be required to confirm they have read and understood these Terms;
Eligible entrants must provide a copy of the purchase receipt or tax invoice indicating the eligible entrants name and address, date of purchase and model number of the Participating Product and name and address of the New Zealand participating retailer by uploading a copy through the website.
All entries must be finalised and receipt received by the Promoter by 11:59pm (NZDT) on 8 June 2014 to be included in the draw;
If any of the details submitted as part of the proof of purchase documentation do not match the online entry details submitted by the entrant and received by the Promoter, the entry will be deemed invalid.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify an entry with the participating retailer that issued the relevant purchase receipt. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request all entrants to produce (within a reasonable period of time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction) in order to confirm each entrant's identity, age, residential address and email address, eligibility to enter and any information submitted by the entrants in entering the promotion, before issuing the prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent) or an entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter's satisfaction within the time requested, that entrant's entry will become invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry that isn’t considered valid.
Prize Draw and Prize Details
The winner will be randomly drawn at LG New Zealand on 18 June 2014 from all valid entries received by 11:59pm (NZDT) 8 June 2014. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
The winner of the promotion will be announced on 30 June 2014. Winners will be contacted by phone and email, and the winner’s details may be published on the LG website, social media pages and any marketing material reflecting on or about 30 June 2014. By entering the Promotion, the winner grants the Promoter permission to use this information as described.
The prize is valued up to NZD$25,000 and includes flights (to at least four countries), accommodation, transfers to and from departure points, tours and spending money of up to $200 per day) The itinerary for the trip will be determined in consultation with the winner and cannot exceed the NZD$25,000 prize value.
Additional spending money, meals, taxes, passports, visas, , items of personal nature, in-room charges and all other additional and ancillary costs are not included.
Once the winner has claimed the prize, the Promoter or its nominated agent will liaise with the winner regarding the travel itinerary and will make the relevant travel bookings.
Travel must be booked and completed by 31st December 2014.
The winner and his/her companion are responsible for ensuring that they have valid travel documentation. The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Winner may be required to present credit card at time of accommodation check in.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter also reserves the right to reject or modify the travel booking requested by the winner.
If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner to claim fulfilment of the prize within 72 hours, that winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety and it shall be redrawn. The Promoter will not be liable for a winner that cannot be contacted and no correspondence will be entered into – the judge’s decision is final and binding.
In the event that the prize (or part thereof) is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prize of equal recommended retail value.
By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees to the Promoter using their entry, name or image for printing, broadcast, publicity, commercial and promotional purposes without compensation and agrees to granting the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use any such material in all media worldwide (including but not limited to TV, web, radio, catalogue, press, and point of sale) and agrees not to object to any such use on the basis of any moral right.
All decisions made by the Promoter and its agents are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner takes the prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies the Promoter in respect of any claim for accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Prize.
Failure of the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted from that source and by those entrants invalid.
All entries submitted become the property of the Promoter. Entries will not be returned to any entrant. As a condition of entering into this promotion, each entrant agrees to assign all of their rights, title and interest (including copyright) in and to their entry to the Promoter.
Certain legislation implies warranties or conditions or imposes obligations upon the Promoter which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent. These Conditions do not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision where to do so would contravene that statute or a cause any part of these Conditions to be void.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies (including their respective officers, employees and agents) shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this prize or the promotion generally, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The prize will only be awarded to the winner following any validation and verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion.
The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter or if caused by the entrant. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost or misdirected entries, including but not limited to entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software or other computer or technical systems.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a mobile network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to entrant's or any other person's mobile handset or computer related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this promotion.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify or suspend the promotion.
Caution: any attempt to deliberately damage the Promoter's promotional website or the information on the website, to cause malicious damage or interference with the normal functioning of the website, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers loss or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these conditions of entry or any other legal obligation by an entrant, the entrant agrees to indemnify the promoter for those losses, damages and costs.
